SALISBURY, N.C. — Four Rowan-Cabarrus Community College faculty members recently attended a global education symposium at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

RCCC faculty members Garland Fulp, Frank Higginbotham, LaNita Kirby and Nancy Whittaker attended the 12th Annual World View Symposium on "21st Century Skills for the Global Economy." The conference was sponsored by the North Carolina State Board of Education, the N.C. Department of Public Instruction, the Center for International Understanding, and the UNC-CH Schools of Education and Business.

Fulp, Higginbotham, Kirby and Whittaker were among 500 educators and administrators who participated in the day-and-a-half program, aimed at providing a greater understanding of global education and its relevance for the classroom.
